South Africa: Kruger Safari & Cape Town
This seven-night journey pairs the wild heart of the Kruger National Park with the city energy of Cape Town, two sides of South Africa that feel like they belong to different countries.
After a night to settle in near Johannesburg, you'll spend three nights on safari, tracking the Big Five on open-vehicle game drives in the Kruger National Park, before winding through the Panorama Route seeing gorges and waterfalls. From there, three nights in Cape Town swap the bush for the city, with Table Mountain, the winelands and the Atlantic coastline all within easy reach.
HERE'S WHAT'S WAITING FOR YOU:
Johannesburg (1 night)
1 Night at Protea Hotel by Marriott O R Tambo Airport – Standard Room | Bed & Breakfast
One night in Johannesburg on arrival before you head out on your guided Kruger National Park wildlife safari.
Kruger National Park (3 nights)
3 Nights at Hippo Hollow Country Estate – Standard Room| Breakfast & 1 Dinner
This shared Guided Kruger Wildlife Safari Tour spans three nights and includes two days on safari in the Kruger National Park, featuring game drives led by an English-speaking ranger tracking the Big Five: lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, and buffalo, as well as the park's other wildlife.
There is also the opportunity to include in your tour a visit to the Kruger Park Anti-Poaching Dog Unit at an additional supplement. *
On the third day, you'll travel the Panorama Route, taking in God's Window, the Three Rondawels, Blyde River Canyon and Bourke's Luck Potholes, along with a visit to Graskop, one of South Africa's earliest gold mining settlements
*Optional activity available for pre-booking subject to a minimum of 2 adults
Cape Town (3 nights)
3 Nights at Southern Sun Waterfront Cape Town – Standard Room | Bed & Breakfast
Three nights is enough time to get properly acquainted with Cape Town, from the cable car queue at Table Mountain to a quiet afternoon wandering the city bowl. The Southern Sun Waterfront is a short walk or shuttle ride from the V&A Waterfront, giving you an easy base to explore at your own pace. You might spend one day among the vineyards of Constantia, another following the coast road out to the Cape Peninsula, and an evening simply watching the sun go down over the harbour. With no set itinerary here, the city is yours to shape as you please.
